About the P&C
Currently there is no P&C Association for Maddington Primary School however, we would love to hear from any parents, caregivers or community members that would be interested in becomming involved. Information can be sourced from Western Australian Council of State School Organisations — WACSSO where there is a wealth of information on what is involved in starting a group.
The Parents and Citizens Association provides parents with an opportunity to learn about the school’s policies and programs; organise ways in which parents can share in shaping and developing school policies; bring parents together to share information and views; and assist the school in building positive engagement with students.
The objectives of a P & C Association are to promote the interests of the school through:
- Cooperation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community;
- Assisting in the provision of resources, facilities and amenities for the school or schools; and
- The fostering of community interests in educational matters.
The executive members of the Parents and Citizens Association are elected by financial members of the Association.
P&C Nomination Forms for Office Bearer positions and Membership Forms are in the Office for anyone wanting to join the P&C. The AGM is generally held in Term 1 of the school year where all positions are vacated and new team voted in.
